Without too many aspirations, as there are way too many excellent photographers in the world that are way more creative and technically able than I can ever be, this website is just there to share moments I've captured of the years. Some still on celluloid and then scanned, most of them in digital form. Selling my work is not a focus but depending on the interest and the printing quality that can be achieved, it is possible.
Photography is something that runs in the family. My father started from an early age, photographing, developing and printing what he saw in the world. Never with any aspiration to be a photographer, just doing it as a hobby that got way out of hand.
I picked up photography in high school, starting with developing and printing in the small but well-equipped facilities at school. Letting it be during my studies only the pick it up after having gone through a rough year health wise. As so often happens, things come full circle, again confronted with serious health issues stemming from those exactly 20 years back, I found it time to do something with all those moments I captured.
Photography is a hobby, one that got severely out of hand, without any honest bounds and limits. It's something I do aside from my normal professional occupation which is uneventful and mundane but allows to pursue my hobby.
I don't have the aspirations nor the time to become anything more than a amateur photographer, but I find pleasure in capturing moments in the knowledge that they will never repeat. Photography is not about just catching the moment; it's about catching the emotions of the moment. The emotions that the scene in front of one may convey, but also the emotions of the photographer.
What I wish to say... enjoy.
